For WiFi businesses that use NetPulse Global. Your customers see a separate notice on your WiFi login page.
NetPulse Global runs the platform you use to sell and manage WiFi. For your own account we decide how your information is used. For your customers' information, you are in charge (the “data controller”) and we handle it for you (the “data processor”), only to run the service.
We do not sell your information or your customers' information.
We use your customers' information only to provide the WiFi service for you: connecting their devices, taking payments, sending vouchers and receipts, and support. We do not use it for our own marketing.
Your WiFi login page has a Privacy notice link that tells your customers this. You can add a contact email for it in Settings → General.
The law asks you, as the data controller, to register with Uganda's Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) and to answer your customers' requests about their data. Contact NetPulse support if you need help finding or deleting a customer's records.
Connections are encrypted, sensitive settings and sign-in secrets are stored encrypted, and staff access to your account is recorded. Payment and accounting records are kept as long as tax law requires; other records only as long as they are needed to run and secure the service. New accounts that are never set up are removed automatically.
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it unless the law requires us to keep it. Contact NetPulse support at support@netpulse.network. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) of Uganda.
